Script Error?

I get a recurrent window, "Internet Script Error", on my new laptop with
Vista notifying me that "An error has occurred in the script on this page."
The window also states, "Object doesn't support this property or method." It
also provides a URL; e.g.
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Common%20Files/InstallShield/UpdateService/ui/umbcpc.htm?Strings=&CSS=

It then asks, "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?"

I truly don't understand thsi message or know how to respond, yes or no? Why
do I get this message? How can I prevent or correst this? Thank you for
helping..
