Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I've searched the knowledge base &
groups but haven't found anything. I'm getting script errors when clicking
on links within help windows for IE6 and some office 2000 apps. Below is one
example. I am running XP home edition version 2002 sp1 & IE
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 (with all current updates).

When in help>contents and index
then click on setup an internet connection
and then click on internet options
I get the following:

An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 592
Char: 9
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL: ms-its:c:\windows\help\icwdial.chm::/icw_overview.htm

I had discovered that my chm files were in c:\I386 folder instead of
windows\help so I copied them in and restarted, but problem still occurs. I
have a Dell, if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help you can
offer!!!!

I know this is very old, I am Hoping someone can still help. I have an office PC, in fact several where we get this problem. We used to be able to resolve the problem by putting on the fix described here.. but now the systems have been updated and we get the message:-

Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of the system installed is newer than the update you are applying to it.
You can only install this update on Service Pack 3

So, is there a newer version of this fix, I dont think so :( Is there anything else that I can do to resolve this issue (I assume a security problem, are there registry key changes or something that can be changed?)
Thanks for any help.
