Screwed up .exe files

Hi.
I have been infectet by some kind of virus. All my exe files have been
corrupted. I think i have heard of a virus who works like that. I have
Norton Antivirus 2004 innstalled on my computer but still got infected.

Two possible causes, I can think of...
A. Your exe files have been infected by a file infector virus.
B. Your registry settings have been altered, to run the virus before
running the requested exe file.

Given what's been common lately, the second seems more likely to me.

Try running http://www.invircible.com/download/fixregex.com
to fix the [HK_classes_root/exefile/shell/command/open] key in the registry.

Then try an online scan. See
