Screen Size-XP upgrade

HHG

Upgraded from ME to XP. All windows are just a little
too big for monitor screen. For example, in Word some of
the task bar is off the screen on both sides. Have to
minimize page and resize. Have display setting at
800x600 and Highest. Help!
 
probably hardware settings on your monitor.

Check that you have the correct monitor (Control
panel/Display/Settings - check the entry, and if you need
to change it, click Advanced.... you should be able to
guess the rest)

After that, adjust buttons on your monitor itself to set
width etc. Some monitors aren't set up all that well and
will give different picture sizes for different desktop
display settings... just one of those things... but it's
not a Windows problem per se.
