screen size stretch

For some reason, my on-screen window has decided to
stretch outside the frame, so that i can't see the edges.
This is most maddening, because I can't see the close
button at the top right, have to minimize the frame and
then right click to close. I've tried everything in
troubleshooting, and eventually just reduced screen
resolution and enlarged the fonts. However, the screen is
still smaller and a bit hard to read. Any ideas.

Use the controls on your monitor to correct the size of the screen. Look up your monitor's instructions on the manufacturer's web site or your manual's hard copy if you have one.

Re-size your window on screen. This is done by tinkering around with the
control buttons on the monitor. you might have several each indicating one
function. You press that and then you resize with the knurled know under the
screen. There is a button for horizontal size and one for vertical size and
other buttons to center the picture horizontally and one for cetering
vertically etc etc.

Or you might have one of the more modern types where you activate screen
image programs and then choose the particular function you need to perform.

Very simple once you get the idea. By the way, do not degauss the screen
more than once within the space of one hour or so -- if you need to degauss
it, that is.

Good luck.

Why? Just curious, I'm no longer using a CRT monitor but if I was,
what problems could I have?
