can someone tell me how one can get a 'screenshot' of a html page -
basically so that I can 'showcase' the websites I've designed in a thumbnail
fashion

thanks!

Use Alt & PrintScreen to place a graphic image of the active
window onto the clipboard. Then you can paste into your
favorite graphics editor.

ok, did that too (was trying to paste into Corel) - opened up Paint - paste
is greyed out - paste from is highlighted - but that's not it - could it be
turned off or something on my keyboard??

Print Screen key is at the top right hand corner of my keyboard. It took me a
little time to locate it. And Mike's instruction works.

my prtscrn is at the top right too - 3rd button over - I hit alt and prtscrn
at same time - nothing will paste

Alt+PrintScrn (copys to Clipboard the active window)
Open Corel
New
Ctrl+V (or paste)

I just did it..works fine.

maybe the screen your trying to capture doesn't have focus...try a straight Print Screen (rather than Ctrl +)..this will get you the entire screen.

which version of Corel are you using? Mine is old (9).

I think it was part of CorelPaint, if you have the full CorelDraw suite.

Does your keyboard have a "F Lock" button? If so press it so that the
associated LED lights up. The PrtScrn button should now work.

just Printscr on its own, then Ctrl-V (or the paste command) into your image
editor.

printscreen COPIES the screen capture to the 'clipboard', you then have to PASTE
into the image editor.

Try Printscr on its own (don't press ALT).
then Ctrl V to paste.

Ctrl V is the standard short cut for "Paste". Used in many applications.
