Hi I have 2 questions:
1. Do you need special software to do a screen shot, and
if so anyone know a good cheap one?

2. I have Windows xp Home edition, and a Toshiba laptop.
The laptop has a button that says print screen, but it
doesn't do anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard (iow, into RAM). To view the screen capture, open a
graphics program, such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will
paste the contents of the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open
file, and allow you to view it or save it as a file for later use.

This newsgroup is called microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin, I'm not
sure how this is related to security.

Anway...

When you hit the Print Screen button, it copies the screen shot to the
clipboard. You can then Paste it into any image editing program.

Hit Print Screen, open up the "Paint" program (in Start Menu under
Accessories) and choose the Paste option from the program's Edit menu.

[If you hit ALT+Print Screen, it will copy the currently selected window, as
opposed to the entire screen.]

Hope this helps...

Alright !
Thanks Bruce. I looked through the manual, and spent
about half an hour on the phone with a Toshiba tech
support once and they said it doesn't work on this model.!
Thanks again. Its easy, and very useful for what I do.

Got it ...thanks !
