After a recent update, every time I restart my pc the resolution settings for
viewing the monitor revert to the lowest setting. When I try to change the
settings back to where I want them it will not let me change to a higher
resolution even though a window pops up and asks me if I want to change the
settings.

The only way I can change the resolution is to reload my nvidia drivers and
restart.

Has any one got an idea on how to fix the problem so that my resolution
doesn't change on restarting and so that I can make changes in the properties
window when I want?

Thanks,
Ray

You'll want to revert your display adapters drivers back to their previous
version. (Roll Back Driver)

Start --> Run --> devmgmt.msc
Click 'OK'

Click on the + next to Display Adapters, double click on your video card.
Click on the drivers tab
Click on Roll Back Driver
Confirm any messages that may follow...

Hope this helps.
