I would like to use a Screensaver for a XPE target.

Which component do I need.
How do I configure the parameters for e.g. the marquee screen saver ?

I found that the following components are needed to get screen savers
working:

Screen Savers component
Windows XP Visual Styles component

You can set the screen saver in control panel. There might be related
registry keys for the marquee screen saver.

The problem is that I am using a custom shell and have to make the
configuration at design time

Is part of your problem not being able to get to the Display
Properties dialog (where you can configure screensavers) ?

If so, you can launch it by executing c:\windows\system32\desk.cpl

No that is not the problem. The problem is that I have to configure the
Screen Saver in the Target Designer because I use a Custom Shell.
I added the registry settings in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
I also added the Screen Saver.Marquee key

But the screen saver won't start after the the time out.

I ran into the same problem with a custom shell. The Windows XP Visual Style
component was the missing piece after several iterations.
