Screen saver

When i set my screen saver past the 9 minutes all i get is my desk top
screen,and it never goes to the screen saver mode, if i set it under 9
mintues my screen saver work fine. Help, i am using Windows XP pro, and a new
Gateway system.
 
Are you running any programs within the 9 minutes?
Because sometimes if you are running applications that refresh on there own
every 30,60,90 seconds etc. the pc will act as if you are still working
within your desktop. So it never goes to ScreenSaver. Look into this and
see....
