Screen Saver-Windows 2000

My screen saver on my Windows 2000 laptop is locked in
Marquee Display and will not allow me to change to a new
screen setting or change the wait time. The drop down
list of screen savers is not available anymore. Does
anyone know what happened?

Check the Screen Saver polices:

Start / Run / Gpedit.msc / OK

01 Double-click User Configuration to expand it.

02 Double-click Administrative Templates.

03 Double-click Control Panel.

04Press Display.

Check the policy settings.

You can also configure Screen Saver settings in the registry.
