Hi, I hope you are doing well.

Does anyone have or know where I can find a screen saver script or whatrever
that will enable me to set a screen saver that flashes various messages on
the screen? Kind of like a slideshow. Or is there a way to do essentially the
same with a PowerPoint presentation that will lock users out of the system
until a password is entered.

Also, can someone tell me what directory the screen saver files are located
in?

Thanks in advance.

If you just go to the Screensaver selection tab of the Display
properties applet, then use the Marquee screensaver, you should find
that adequate to your needs.

You have to enter the details by hand.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
SCRNSAVE.EXE="c:\windows\notepad.exe"

Use any exe or scr file. Note windows passes the command line switch /s to the command.

Problem is that only allows one message at a time be displayed. I am looking
for something that will allow various messages displayed without having to
change marquee.
Thanks Mike.

Thanks David,
Once I set command in registry, how do I set up the Display Properties
Screen Saver properties.

You can't use the dialog if you set it manually (as it will helpfully fix it). Use the dialog then edit the registry.

Hello,
You could write up the text files in notepad then do a screen capture
(ALT+PrintScreen), paste it into the Paint program, save it as a .BMP into
any folder you choose then use the My Pictures Slideshow screensaver to
display the captures from the folder you put them into.
It wouldn't look too fancy but it would work. And hey, it's free.
