Earlier versions of Windows had the ability to assign a keyboard shortcut to
a password protected screen saver. This would allow the user to leave their
PC after hitting the shortcut to initiate the screen saver to maintain
privacy/security.
Is there a similar function XP (Pro)

TIA

Windows key + L

or

Put this line in the shortcut's 'Target'
%systemroot%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Windows Key + L will lock your machine. If you're using Pro, then you can
also hit Control-Alt-Delete and then click Lock Workstation, or just hit the
Enter key after control-alt-delete.
