Screen Saver Problem

I have the screen saver set to show photos that are saved in a folder. Most
of the time everything is fine, but sometimes the pictures are shown in black
and white instead of being in color. The computer is a Toshiba laptop
(A135-S4467). This seems to be is a Windows Vista problem, although it could
be a hardware problem.

Thanks for the response, but I don't know what you mean by "transitions".
Is it a known problem, or just something that "happens"? Is there any way to
"fix" it, or should I expect the black and white versions to show up every
now and then?

It's just another fancy way to show your pictures, along with fades, zooms,
etc. You probably have your Theme set to "Random" so it will occasionally
show them in black and white.

Go to the setting for the screen saver and you can select transition options.
If you select random, some of your pictures will be black and white.

After a while I realized what 'transitions' are - and yes, I do have them set
to random. Vista handles them differently than XP does, and I wasn't
expecting black and white. However, it seemed like once they started in
black and white, they don't go back to color - maybe that's just the way
Vista works.

Is there any way to get the file name of the photo to show - XP would do that?
