screen saver password.

i want to place a password to lock my cpu during a screensaver, i went to
display propertys, clicked on the screensaver tab but the check box under it
says "on resume, display welcome screen" instead of "On resume, password
protect".
How do i place a password on my screensaver?
I would appreciate it if anyone could help.

what version XP do you have?
Is your XP login password protected?
if normal login is password protected, going to login screen would require
password, wouldn't it?

Note that the screen saver password is the same as your logon password.

If you want to display a password prompt, rather than returning to the
Welcome screen, disable the Welcome Screen and use the classic login dialog.
