I have a new computer with Vista installed. I have set up the screensaver
and all appears okay...but I can't get it to turn on. I've gone through the
process several times. I have used the option of having it display photos
from a folder on my computer. I can get it to show me a preview of the
screensaver and all seems to be working...it just won't activate on its own.
Suggestions???

There must be a program running in the background that makes the computer
think you are still working. TV tuners, scedulers, indexing, scans,
etc.--Vista seems to be working all the time. I would put a shortcut to the
scr file on the Desktop and use that. Search the Windows folder for *.scr to
find all the screensavers. BTW, if you are a home user you really don't need
screensavers at all. Just set your monitor to turn off. Screensavers are for
your entertainment or privacy at home. They really aren't needed on LCD
monitors.

You might consider searching through previous threads. This one has been
posted several times I think....

Did you start using a wireless mouse or keyboard? They just sent an update a
few days ago for this. It's an optional update starting with "HID" under
windows updates. For some reason the USB devices aren't allowing the
screensaver to kick in.

That makes 2 of us - same exacd problem.

That makes 3 of us. The only way I can get it to work is upon Windows
Startup, I right click, personalize, screensaver, change the setting a bit
and apply. Then the Screensaver works great. It's just a PI the A to have to
do that every time I startup my computor.
