screen saver doesnt work

i have a pc with winxp sp2

the system is just formatted.... and in general works ok

but

the screen saver doesnt work at all..

there is a solution?

If you have Power DVD installed, try uninstalling.

Found this solution buried on this site in reference to Dell PC's, but also
solved my problem and resolved wireless mouse scrolling issues to boot.
