Posting from another user by the name of David:
â€I figured out what the problem is. It's the Microsoft Wireless Mouse. If I switch
the mouse to one with a tail the screensaver works.â€
then David posted again
â€I got a fix. I changed to connection to the computer using the USB to PS2 adapter
that came with the mouse. Now I get the screensaver. I would be interested to find
out why this works.â€
Hello~ I've beem reading about the screensaver problems with XP, sounds like
you found a cure. I don't understand what exactly you did as far as the
switching connections P52 - USB? Can you please explain? I too had just
recently bought a MS wireless keyboard/mouse.

The screen saver does not work when you use a Microsoft wireless pointing device on a Windows XP SP2-based computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911895
