Screen repainting issue

Spike

I have a workbook that now and again after running a macro (issue occurs with
many different macros) the first say five or six columns are covered in grey
so one cannot read the data below the grey. If you scroll to the right then
all those columns up to the end (IV) are visible as usual. If you change
sheets then the grey panel is showing on each sheet.

Any ideas to prevent this occurring will be very gratefully received

Hi
Hard to be too specific without seeing any code. Suggestions
1. Put in
Application.screenupdating = false

at the top of each macro so save the screen having to update itself
till the macro has finished.
2. Put in
DoEvents

after every section of code that is having to update the screen.

Might fix it, especially if you are using Excel 2007 where the screen
graphics can be horribly slow....
regards
Paul
