I have Dell laptop and had to rebuild it. After loading O/S and applications,
I found that when scrolling vertically the pages jerk up and down rather than
slide smoothly to desired location. I do not know if this is issue w/XP or
maybe a hardware issue so please bear w/me.

Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the manufacturer website where you can download the correct video
driver..

Open Internet Options, Advanced tab, and last item under the "Browsing"
category should read "Use Smooth Scrolling. Make sure that is checked.
Also look for updated drivers for your graphics card and monitor, as
suggested by Mike Hall.
