Screen not centered

This is not a big issue, but it's got me baffled. For some reason or
other, when WinXP starts up, the black "Windows X"" screen "copyright
MS" is not centered. It's way off to the lower right. As Windows
continues to load and the black screen gives way to my desktop,
everything is okay and centered perfect. Just curious as to why this
does this. It was fine for years and then it started doing this
recently.

You won't be quick enough with the monitor controls to align it unless
there's a Reset button. Each screen resolution (or is it the sweep
rate?) needs to be aligned/centered separately; this screen, with its
640x480 resolution (or whatever the resolution) hasn't been centered yet.
