Screen goes to black after 3 minutes

Screen goes to black after 3 minutes when idle.
Running Win2k pro on a laptop.

I've changed the screensaver time from 5 to 30 minutes.
I've also tried disabling the screensaver. I also set the
power management from never turning the monitor off or
changing the time to 5 hours. No matter what I do the
screen goes to black after 3 minutes when it is idle.

How do I stop this from happening?

Might there be power saving option in the BIOS (that you need to disable)?

Change System Standby? If this does not work, check your local group policy
settings using gredit.msc Is your laptop part of a domain? If so, there
may be a domain level screensaver policy.
