Screen freeze with new adsl connection

My new adsl connection was recently fitted and configured for me. I make a
connection without problem but after approx 4/5 minutes pc freezes
completely. No error messages......requires re-boot to continue. Any ideas?

Are the correct drivers loaded for the modem or router?

Not sure......third party installed and configured for me. The connection is
still a dial-up and connects and runs quickly every time but only for 4/5
mins. I have just tried to check "connections" on the Tools-Internet Options
tab within IE and on opening the Internet Options window the pc froze again.
Ctrl-alt-delete does nothing at this stage so I cannot check running
processes or applications !
