I have recently acquired a very annoying problem for
which I have found no solution. My screen is now
producing images distended 25% vertical, i.e. 4x4 images
are 4x5 and circles are upright ovals. I would certainly
appreciate some help with this problem.

These adjusments are on your display. What you need to do is adjust the
height of your display.
