Screen/Display problem

I just upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro and my laptop screen
is looking bad, oversized icons, grainy images etc... I
have tried changing display options, resolution, and color
but there is only one opinion "16 color" and two
resolutions. No noticable difference.

This problem is maybe because of two reasons.
1. Video drivers, make sure they are correct. Sometimes a
wrong video driver will kind of work, but these sort of
issues tell that the driver is incorrect.

Most laptops only like resolution of 800x600 or mostly
1024x768.
