scratched cd

My windows cd is scratced so that installation can read only about 30% of the
files. Before I try reapiring the physical cd I'd like to know if whether I
create a new cd e.g. by using slipstreaming. Thanks!
 
If you can only read about 30% of the CD you will be slipstreaming 30% of
the CD..duh!!!
If this is a retail version of XP MS will issue you a replacement for a
nominal fee....see their website for details
If it is an OEM version that came with your system contact the maker of your
system.
