School Lunchroom Admission

I want to set up Access to use a barcode scan for admission to the
lunchroom at the school I work at. We already have the scanners and
computers. I just need to set up a program to recognize the student
barcodes on their ID cards to know which students can be admitted and
not admitted into three different lunches.

Any help would be appreciated.

hi,
basicly a barcode scanner is just another input device
like the keyboard. all you need is a form with a textbox
on it. click in to the text box(tab or mouse), scan the
bar code and what ever the scanner reads will pop into the
text box.
what else do you need?
