Put the downloaded autodefrag file where you can find it, then use task
scheduler to start autodefrag, which will start Win 2k's defrag and run it.
Without the use of Autodefrag (or your own script) scheduling Win 2k's
defrag will cause it to open and it will wait until the "start" button is
pushed by *someone*. If you were to schedule Win 2k's defrag to run at 12
midnight, the next morning when you came in, defrag will have only opened.
It will sit waiting until the start button is pushed before defragging.
That is essentially what AutoDefrag is doing. It is launching the built-in
defragmenter (GUI) and simulating a user clicking on the appropriate buttons
to start a defrag and "waiting" for the defrag to finish and then closing
the GUI.
