Scheduled Tasks

For reasons I cannot determine, Scheduled Tasks will not
execute a task on one of my customer's computers. As a
test, I have created a task to open Wordpad, but the
scheduler passes over the schedule and updates the "Next
Run Time" to "Never", with the "Last Run Time" remaining
at "Never". I imagine that there's a system setting
somewhere that is set incorrectly, but I can't find it.

Does the account have a password? If not, Scheduled Tasks will not run.
There is a work around for this, but it also allows other features of the OS
to be accessed from accounts with no password set.

Note: Use at your own risk, as this does create a large security hole.

Thanks so much, Doug. It worked. The computer is behind
a solid firewall, so I'm not too concerned about the
security hole.
