BlankI am trying to set up scheduled tasks for windows XP home edition. I don't have passwords, but it is my computer, therefore I must have the authorization. However whenever I add passwords and click, I get the following message: error occurred while attempting to set task account info. specific error is: 0x80070005 access is denied. You do not have permission to perform the requested operation. What do I do?

Thanks for your help.

I have a similar problem as you describe here. There IS fix available, and a
knowledge base article re the issue - sorry, I can't recall exactly what the
number is ... but it is a fairly convaluted process to GET the fix :(
Try doing a search on the Microsoft Updates web site using the error number
generated (0x80070005) which I'd hope should bring you to the right place !
Unless your problem is severe, you might wanna give it a pass tho ... I still
have the problem even though I know how to fix it - you try finding that
hotfix, even though the site says there IS one, you can't search for it - I
STILL haven't found the thing after three days of looking ...
