Scheduled Tasks

I would like to run a simple task to start MS Word at a certain time on my
computer.

I ma using XP home and do not have a password set for my user account as I
don't want one.

When I create the task and save it I am prompted for a password which I
leave blank and click "OK"

When I try to rrun the task I receive the following error:
"The scheduled task did not run because no user account password was
entered"

Can I get around this ?

Thanks in advance...

Right click on the task and put a tick in the "Run only if logged on" box.
You will have to leave your account logged on which is a security risk. I
recommend you put a password on all your accounts including administrator.

I recommend that you put a password on the account. That doesn't mean you
have to enter the password every time you boot. You can still automatically
log on. Go to Start | Run, type "control userpasswords2" Select the account
you want to logon to automatically. Then uncheck the box "Users must enter a
user name and password to use this computer."

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.

Another possibility to consider is to create another account that does
have a password and set the scheduled task to use that account.
