scheduled task is not running

I have Windows 2000, latest security path/release. A dell
machine that is about 3 years old.

I am trying to schedule Norton Antivirus to run daily. I
do turn the computer off after use but isn't there a way
that the scheduled task running the daily scan will start
to run once I turn the machine back on ?

What is the best way to be able to turn my PC off but also
have a daily scan at let's say 6PM - of my computer.

I suggest you read the Norton Antivirus manual and check
out the FAQs on the Norton home page in order to find
out how to get it to scan your disk at start time.
