I am able to do selected file backup with no trouble, but cannot schedule a
daily backup.
When I check the "Scheduled Tasks" folder the status has "could not start".
I am trying to backup files in the "C" drive into a folder in the "G" drive
(separate HD) and have
them updated daily. Any help will be appreciated.
TIA

The "could not start" message is usually generated when
the specified password is incorrect.

... which, PMFJI, can include the account not having a password. The Windows
Scheduler requires a password to run tasks, for basic security reasons.

So, add a password to your account and use the XP Power Toy, TweakUI, to set
AutoLogon to ON so you don't have to enter it every time.
