schedualed tasks

I have schedualed tasks to take place when everyone is
asleep and they NEVER do! Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I'm having the same problem! My log says "Some Tasks May
Not Have Run at the Scheduled Time Because Task Scheduler
is Not Running or the Computer is Hibernating".
(Hibernating? wha?) It's true, Task Scheduler is NOT
running! It's set for Automatic and Local System in the
Services part of Administrative Tools. Sometimes, I can
get it to run as scheduled, but ONLY when I'm logged into
my screen, not when I'm logged off, not on other user's
screens. Otherwise it simply won't run. I just can't fix
it!

Open the Scheduled Tasks folder, then click on Advanced
in the menu bar at the top and select View Log. Details
of the failure will be listed there.

Get this free programme from the web. It is not the greatest scheduled
maintenance programme there is, but the setting up procedure is
illuminating, showing step by step with screen shots how to get the WinXP
resident shedder working properly. You need to download the .NET Framework
from the Windows update site, though.

When you have done all that and it doesn't work, then this web site shows
you the way to zero in on the fault.

I have gone through all of that, and I am alright, Jack!
