Scatter chart challenge

I am trying to create a chart that will show over time how my investment
portfolio changes from Small Value companies to (lower left corner) to Large
Value (Upper left corner) to Large Growth (Upper right) and finally to Small
Growth companies (lower right).

I have data for my portfolio along with data that represents each of the
quadrants. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Is there a way for the data points to get "larger" as the data becomes
newer? The more recent the portfolio the the larger the data point, the
previous portfolio the smaller the data point?

Thanks for the help.

Bubble chart? You can even assign little graphics to the data points
instead of bubbles, and the graphics will change size as the bubbles
would.

Unfortunately, bubble charts cannot be combined with other chart types to
get different color backgrounds.
