Scanning and Updating on domain workstation

T

T E Muskoff

I have Antispyware running on a WinXP Pro SP1 workstation
which must log onto a WindowsNT domain in order to be
useful.

It seems that the scheduled Antispyware scanning and file
updates are not being done when the workstation is not
logged onto the domain server.

Is this correct, and is that just the way it works, or is
there a way for these background processes to run even if
the workstation is not logged on to the domain?

Thanks!!

In the present state of the beta, there must be a user logged in for
scanning and updates to take place. This could be a local administrator, or
it could be a domain user, but whatever account is used needs to be
administrator on the local machine, and have permission to reach the
internet (for auto-update) if there's a proxy which needs authentication
involved.
