Scanning an e-mail into Outlook

When I scan and e-mail directly to Outlook it fails to open. I have checked
the settings for Outlook on the scanner. When I scan and e-mail directly to
Outlook Express it opens and I can send from there. Why one and not the
other? I have a POP3 type of and e-mail account. It use to work and now it
doesn't.

Contact the developer of whatever scanning software that you use for
technical support. Perhaps you are supposed to configure the scan software
as to which e-mail client it sends its data after completing a scan. Maybe
it uses whichever e-mail client is configured in MAPI as the default one,
and you have OE designated as the default e-mail client.

Doesn't sound like an Outlook problem. Sounds like a problem with whatever
is your unmentioned scanning software.

I unistalled hpscanjet 3500 and re-installed. I re-installed Office 2003 and
with a few other fixes everything is back to normal. Thanks Vanguard...
