When I open MS Outlook 2003 to check mail, I get the following alert:

The add-in "C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\scanmal.dll" could
not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and
Repair on the Help menu.

I tired the Detect and Repair option a couple times and it didn't clear it
up. I recently switched from satellite internet to cable. Didn't get this
message before the cable guy was here.

How can I stop this alert message from coming up?

Thanks for your time!

You have a McAffee AV app installed, or did have?
In OL disable/uncheck the plugin, not sure where its located in the OL2003
menu

Thank you DL! In OL2003 I went to tools\options\other\advanced
options\add-in manager. From there I unchecked the McAffee Virus Scan
Outlook E-Mail Scanner.

I no longer get that alert, but McAffee is my anti-virus program though and
shouldn't I want it to scan my e-mail??

Dont use McAfee, but perhaps their site for support?, maybe theres something
specific re OL2003
