scandisk

i setup a scandisk and it tells me i need to restart.
then when it restarts the scandisk program ends saying it
cant open the volume. what can i do?
 
I have had this happen to me once. I simply tried to do
the scan again by telling the computer to run a scan and
immediately restarting my computer. The second time
around it went through the scan. I don't know if it will
work for you. But at least you know your not the only
one that has seen this happen.
 
You need to run scan disk in the Safe Mode. Restart the
system in the Safe Mode by pressing F8 as it comes up (you
have to be fast).
