Scandisk blacked out my screen

Hi all,

I have Windows XP Pro and recently ran scandisk. The screen works until it
gets past the title screen; after this point it blacks out. I can hear it
load up and any other sounds the computer makes, so seems to be working fine.

This has never happened before. I have up to date virus software and the
machine has not been connected to the internet for at least a month so I
haven't downloaded anything new. I am fairly certain that I have not
downloaded SP2 on this computer yet. I have run scandisk on this hard drive
in the past without problems. The monitor works fine on another computer. I
have another hard drive that was not installed and will likely use that as
the master if nothing else works, but obviously I'm hoping I can get some
assistance here. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Thanks for the reply, but I don't get the LKG option. I can only choose
from CD, IDE, Floppy, and Network. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Ryan
