scandisk at startup wont work

I am trying to do the scan disk at startup but the message "Cannot open volume for direct access" appears and the check wont work, after few seconds normal startup continues. Now every time I restart the same message appears.
 
Yes, im having the same problem!!! Sooo frustrating!! I even formatted my hard drive, and still get the same problem as the original poster!!!! Urrrrrr
