scan to desktop

how do you scan in a photo to your computer and then set
it as a background i thought of changing the size to 1024
by 768 and change the resolution but its not working im
using xp home and hp wizard that comes with the scaner
please help

First...scan the image and save it in a folder
on your hard drive...My Pictures..is a good choice.

Regardless of where you acquire the image...
you simply right click the image and choose...
"Set as desktop background."

BTW, all images that are saved in your My Pictures
folder will be available as DeskTop backgrounds.
Just right click your desktop...choose Properties /
Desktop tab and look in the list
