Scaling a screen shot

Chris

Bit of a newbie here...

I want to insert a screen shot into a presentation. I made a .bmp file at
1024x768 by hitting Print Screen and pasting/saving using Paint. I insert
the picture into my presentation, but it's not the right size -- for some
reason the picture is now larger than the screen, and it gets cut off on the
bottom and the right.

How do I get the picture to fit the screen exactly, in other words, appear
at the original size?

In the event that this presentation is shown on a computer with a different
screen resolution, how do I get it to scale appropriately?

I'm using Powerpoint '97

I figured it out. You have to pick "Best Scale for Slide Show" and then pick
the current screen resolution.

Dear Chris,

I have had exactly the same problem, I resolved it by, instead of pasting it
into paint, just pasting it into powerpoint.
this has the same problem, the picture is then too big, which as you pointed
out is unusual.

Could you explain YOUR way of getting round the problem in a little more
detail, I use screen shots regularly in PPT presentations.

Thank-you

Daniel
