Is it possible to run the BCM database on SBS 2008 standard? I've installed
outlook 2007 but the BCM install fails.

It should work. Any indication of what the error is?

Maybe this was an SBS 2008 RC1 issue. Reloaded a server with released
software, installed BCM, works as expected!

Looks like Sql Server 2005 Express may have incompatibilities with
Server 2008.

They may have fixed this the permissions issue. 9.0.2047 is Service
Pack 1.
Download SP2 (9.0.3042) from Microsoft. Install it. Run Windows Update
and install all the Sql related patches.
Then run BCM setup. It'll launch the Sql setup, which will detect that
it is already installed, and just create the BCM instance.

Hi Don,

I found your information on this post useful but I'm a bit of a novice with
the SQL portion.

Can you give me clearer instruction than that was is posted

My goal is to run Outlook 2007 with BCM hosted on a SBS 2008 STANDARD
version. I also want to include Microsoft Accounting Professional hosted on
the server as well. I expect no more than 8 users max.

Any additional information would be very helpful. I've been looking ...and
looking...and looking for clearer directions. Of the information that I do
find it all tends to reference the SBS 2003 R2 configuration.

Thank You.

Tony Holland
