saving userform textbox data to worksheet as a number, not text

When a user adds a quantity to the userform textbox and it's saved to the workbook, the data is saved as text instead of a number. I would like to be able to save the quantity as a number on the worksheet. Currently a flag shows up next to the populated cell indicating that the data is text.
