saving to mpeg??? HELP

any suggestions for a software prog that will capture from a DV cam and save in mpeg, or convert to mpeg from wmv or avi? Thanks in advanc
 
TMPGEnc will convert from MPEG to AVI and/or WMV....

WindowsMovieMaker2 will import from MPEG and save to DV-AVI and WMV

WindowsMovieMaker2 will import from the digital camcorder and save in DV-AVI
and WMV.
