saving the movie problem

I have tried to 'save' the movie to my pc for 3 times now and It appears
that all the audio is saved and can play. But partial pictures get saved.
the first time I tried to save my movie, the first 3 minutes of the movie
came out fine out then I got a black screen w/ all the correct audio for the
rest. the second time, 10+ minutes saved correctly, this last time just 5 or
so minutes. Let me add that the file before saving the movie is almost 12
MB. And I am trying to save it to the pc (not to a CD-not yet)-
What am i doing wrong?

Sometimes a similar thing happens to me when I work with Flash 5, so here's
what I'm fairly sure is going on. You keep trying to open the file before
it's finished writing. Some programs write it to a temporary file first (in
case you cancel, which would corrupt the file), and then after it says the
movie is done it begins transferring from the temporary file to its intended
position at a nice, leisurely pace. No hurry, right? My idea would be try
leaving it running a while after it says that it's finished exporting. Don't
log off, shut down, restart, etc. Eventually this process will complete.
