Saving Photos

When in word is it at all possible to save and picture
to a folder "as-a" jpg or tif file?
 
You can "SAVE AS" an HTML document (the exact wording varies from version to
version) and Word will "export" (I use the term loosely) the graphic to a
jpg file, using the least optimal settings.

A far better option is to go back to the source of the image and use that.
