Saving Password in WindowsXP Professional

I am unable to save my password on a website inspite of
going into internet explorer/tools/internet
options/context/autocomplete and ticking on all boxes.

Is this a bug with microsoft windows XP professional or is
there a way to get around it. I would like to save my
password encrypted, so that I do not have to re-type it
each time I go to my website.

Early assistance will be much appreciated.

Does this happen for all websites? Do you have cookies enabled (at least for
those sites)? You can't save/cache all passwords/credentials, note - for
example, an online banking site won't let you save your password.
