Hi,
When I attempt to save an email message draft as a template. I format it in
plain text, then use "SAVE AS" however it doesn't give me the option to use
..oft but .doc.
How do I modify Office 2003 to give me the .oft option?

I'm trying to create an out of office reply usiing a tools wizard on a pop
server, so I never get it to work because I can't create a template.

Suggestions (not too technical please).

Save the draft. Use Tools | Options | Mail Format to turn off WordMail. Open
the draft again. You should now be able to save it as an .oft file.

You need to be looking at Outlook's Tools | Options dialog. Switch back to
your folder view first.

Go to the Inbox in Outlook. Choose Tools | Options. Mail Format should be
the third tab from the left in the front row (if you have more than one
row). If you don't see it, tell us what tabs you do see.
